I’m presently reading through I Kings. Verses 22-61 are Solomon’s prayer of dedication after the Ark is brought into the Temple. As I was going through this chapter, I found my heart once again longing for the time when we will actually be in the presence of our Saviour Yeshua as He rules and reigns upon this earth.

This is a very personal Psalm. It’s as if David is letting us see behind the door of his life. We’re getting to know him in a way that ordinarily we wouldn’t. The wonderful thing about the Psalms of David is that many of them are so intimately revealing

“Then went king David in, and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who am I, O Lord GOD? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto?” II Samuel 7: 18 Whenever I read this verse spoken by David in prayer to God, it makes me think of the wonderful song: “Who Am I?” So, I thought I’d share it with you.

“And Samuel Died” — I Samuel 25:1 So, I’m merrily reading along in 1st Samuel and the first three words at the beginning of the new chapter are: “And Samuel died.” That’s it? That’s all we get?? Three little words that just pop up in the narrative??? I want more information … please.
