It amazes me that the issue of Bible translation is constantly in a state of flux. Every time one turns around there is some new something that has been found and discovered that will bring us closer to the actual words of God. I’m so glad I got off this squirrel cage.
Now mind you, if you’re going to proclaim yourself a proponent of the King James Bible you should get ready for a barrage of criticism. (It’s almost as bad as saying you’re “Messianic.”)
“Himself … Bare Our Sicknesses”
Since I’ve been saved, I’ve wondered why we still struggle with sin and have sickness. If God washed me clean through the blood of Yeshua, then why didn’t He do a complete package deal? Fix everything once-and-for-all! He spoke the worlds into existence; therefore, it would seem a rather small thing for Him to keep His children free from sin and healthy all the time. But, the Bible makes it clear that God doesn’t do that … does He? Even “Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died,” II Kings 13:14
God Shuts The Eyes And Hearts
While rereading chapter 44, verse 18 stuck out like it hadn’t the first time through. The very thought that God shuts the eyes and hearts of people intrigued me. What are we to make of this? How does God do it? Are the people aware of this happening to them? Can I play a part in this not happening? Am I able to undo any of it?
Who Wrote This
“If you do not contend with your whole heart against the impious government of the pope, you cannot be saved. Whoever takes delight in the religion and worship of popery, will be eternally lost in the world to come. If you reject it, you must expect to incur every kind of danger, and even to lose your lives. But it is far better to be exposed to such perils in this world than to keep silence. So long as I live I will denounce to my brethren the sore and the plague of Babylon, for fear that many who are with us may fall back like the rest into the bottomless pit of perdition.”
