The Book of Job: Lessons In Life

In this week’s message Warren Tanner takes us through the first two chapters of the Book of Job. Job was a real person who went through life issues that many of us have. Through Job’s life we can gather lessons to draw on throughout our own lives. Warren covers three points: The Character of Job, The Challenge of Satan and The Confidence of God.

In this week’s message we listen as Luke takes us through the Torah Portion in Numbers 8:1-12:15. From there Luke goes into the first two chapters on Nehemiah. There we read about the beginning of the return of the exiles from Babylon and the rebuilding of the wall of Jerusalem. Shalom!

Shavuot/ Pentecost

This week’s message is on Shavuot also known as Pentecost. Warren takes us through Acts 2 as we look at what happened from a Biblical and Torah based perspective. Listen along as we learn that Acts 2 was not the birth of the Church but rather an empowering from God for the task that lay ahead. It was time to gather the scattered exiles of Israel. Shalom!

The Fear Of The Lord

Proverbs 19:23 —The fear of the Lord tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.

This is one of the verses I review every now-and-then. It’s been quite awhile since I reviewed it. When I did, it hit me once again with a renewed freshness.

When I read that verse I honestly feel like I must be living in a parallel universe — meaning, I don’t seem to live daily within the realm of this verse. This verse isn’t the daily norm for me.
