“Gehazi, the servant of Elisha the man of God” II Kings 5:20

Gehazi is any interesting figure to me. He had the incredible privilege of serving under the great prophet Elisha. Can you imagine what that must have been like? I mean, wake up every morning knowing that you’ll be hanging out with Elisha. It doesn’t get much better than that.

“And there was great indignation against Israel” II Kings 3:27

“And there was great indignation against Israel” II Kings 3:27

Israel always seems to get slammed. In this instance it was because, under the direction of Elisha, they crushed the Moabites. They did what they were supposed to do in obedience to God.

That’s awesome!

But, I am somewhat ambivalent about modern day Israel. Please don’t misunderstand me. I love “Israel” — although, I’m not sure what that really means. This is such a complicated topic of discussion.
